As a former valet worker, I have easily driven more than 10,000 cars. My initial impression of the new Dodge Dart was that it was unremarkable. It did not impress me. But after renting one for a few days, I changed my opinion.
The car was perfectly comfortable. It drove smooth and quiet. Like, 80 mph can sneak up on you easily on the highway. The brake feel is excellent. The handling felt solid. The AC worked great. The stereo sounded fine. The cruise control told me the exact speed I had just set it to. I liked that. And the car does an excellent job of killing bugs, as you might be able to see from this photo:
I drove it a little over 600 miles. It feels like a solid, well-built car. The front is a little low, so you have to be mindful of curbs.
Anyway, I changed my mind about the Dodge Dart. I think it's a good little car. No complaints.
